The STIHL tiller MH 685 is fast, durable, effective and suitable for a wide range of soil and ground types. Even though the petrol engine ploughs new furrows powerfully, machine handling is still comfortable. This is made possible by the anti-vibration elements between the gearbox housing and handlebar as well as the intelligent weight distribution of the tiller. The height and width of the handlebar can be adjusted as required to guarantee maximum operating comfort. It can be folded up for storage purposes. The machine runs both forwards and backwards while the brake spur ensures precision control. If required, the working width can also be reduced from 85 cm to 60 cm to plant crops close to one another. A robust gearbox housing made from aluminium, worm shaft in hardened steel and worm gear made from bronze alloy also ensure a long service life. The pair of wheels at the rear are folded up during operation but can be used to transport or store the MH 685.
Features may include:
Simple throttle actuationThe STIHL tiller can be steered using both handles. The throttle is within reach of the handles and so the speed controller on the handlebar can be operated with the thumb while steering. As a result, the power of the tiller can be controlled precisely when tilling.
Dividable hoe setThe dividable hoe set accompanying this STIHL tiller allows the variable adjustment of the working width. As a result, crops can be planted in rows close to one another. The lateral discs protect existing plants from sustaining damage during tilling.
Swivelling brake spurThe brake spur can be used to adjust the blade entry depth. The 180° swivelling spur makes it easier to work with the STIHL tiller in narrow passages and bends. It is also easily accessible, can be set to 3 different heights and is captive.
